Aman Hotel & Resort

A Historic Island Sanctuary on the Adriatic

Perched on the iconic islet of Sveti Stefan, Aman Sveti Stefan presents a luxury resort Montenegro experience infused with history, beauty, and coastal charm. The resort transforms a 15th-century fortified village into an exquisite sanctuary set against Adriatic hues. Its serene character echoes other Aman masterpieces like Amanruya in Turkey.

Timeless Suites & Cottages with Sea Views

Fifty-eight uniquely restored suites, cottages, and villas—both on Sveti Stefan Island and at neighboring Villa Miločer—feature balconies, stone arches, fireplaces, and ocean vistas. The top-tier Sveti Stefan Suite includes a private pool, sweeping terrace, and steam room nestled over the sea.

Specially Curated Packages to Enhance Your Stay

Within the resort, refined packages offer enhanced experiences:

  • Wellness & Spa Revival: hydrotherapy at the spa with saunas, plunge pools, and herbal treatments using olive oil and honey; yoga and Pilates sessions overlooking Queen’s Beach.
  • Cultural Heritage Experience: private guided tours of Budva’s old town, excursions to Kotor UNESCO sites, and storytelling walks through Sveti Stefan’s historic lanes.
  • Romantic Adriatic Escape: candlelit dinners on the island, floral turn-downs, spa treatments for couples, and sunset cocktails at the cliff pool.

Spa, Pools & Hydropool Bliss

The stand-alone Aman Spa on the mainland offers a 24-metre indoor-outdoor pool, four treatment suites, hydrotherapy zones, saunas, steam showers, and state-of-the-art fitness studios. Guests also enjoy two cliff-edge pools on the island and a family-friendly pool near the Piazza restaurant, all with panoramic sea views.

Dining with Adriatic Touch

Dining takes place across several distinctive venues: the open-air Piazza square with its taverna, enoteca, and antipasti bar; the main Aman restaurant with Adriatic fare; Villa Miločer’s intimate dining rooms; and beachside cafés at Queen’s Beach. Cuisine merges local seafood, Mediterranean flavors, and organic produce.

Island & Coastal Activities

Guests may paddle-board around the peninsula at sunrise, walk to Budva, explore local olive groves, or experience aquatic excursions in the Bay of Kotor. The concierge arranges boating, cycling, and heritage tours. Despite being physically connected to the mainland, the island feels entirely immersive and secluded.

Legacy, Design & Current Status

Opened in 2008 and designed by Jean‑Michel Gathy, Aman Sveti Stefan has preserved the medieval village’s exterior and integrated modern interiors in stone, wood, and plaster. However, the hotel has remained closed since 2020 due to government and redevelopment disputes, with no confirmed reopening date. The spa and beaches remain inaccessible to guests for now.

Begin Your Aman Sveti Stefan Anticipation

Though Aman Sveti Stefan remains closed indefinitely, it symbolizes the essence of an historic island resort—adventure, calm, and craftsmanship by the sea. Compare its storied beauty with coastal lacquers at Amanruya and mountain serenity at Amanvari. Watch this page for reopening updates and book your future Aman Sveti Stefan journey.
